I saw these poetic and beautiful images whilst I should have been doing something else and thought I must share them. Nature/nurture, growth/structure. The contrast between the freedom of the plants themselves and the structure remaining below - all serve to reflect many aspects of life itself. They are the work of the photographer Diana Scherer, who lives in Amsterdam. I have taken the following copy straight from her site www.dianascherer.nl. “The process is painstakingly slow and Scherer’s dedication to her work, both above and below ground, is evident…“It took three years for me to discover the right working method and I had to try out lots of different flowers. Depending on the flower, I wait until the roots and the blossom are fully developed, which sometimes takes six months but other times just four. Often it doesn’t work out at all and, quite often, I found that the roots were too weak.”

Bubble London was fabulous. It was the first time that Milk & Biscuits has shown in England, we saw much, learnt lots and are looking forward to working with a great collection of bloggers, stylists and retailers when we launch in Autumn. We are also proud to say that we came ‘Runner Up’ alongside another new brand - Young Soles - for the coveted Rising Star award. Woop Woop.

On a side note, I must say I adore Little Jalo for creating the worlds classiest and cosiest hats & footmuffs. Another stand out was the delightful and super entertaining Jo from Love Frankie. Bold and beautiful designs for not only kids but homes. I must also say a huge thank you to the stylist /art director Fran Lee who managed to pull in some of our products at the 11th hour for the catwalk show.
